Services
I work with adults and can provide therapy in North Carolina and PsyPACT states, which are listed here: PSYPACTMap - Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT).
All services are currently offered virtually through telehealth via a secure HIPAA-compliant platform. I typically see clients early-to-mid weekday evenings (eastern standard time).
Phone Consultation: If you are interested in working together, we can schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation to discuss your needs and determine if I am a good fit for what you are looking for in therapy. If I don’t think I am the best fit, I can try to provide you with referrals to other providers who may be better able to meet your needs. You can call me at 919-907-1799 or contact me using the secure contact form to schedule an initial phone consultation.
Assessment: If we decide to work together, we’ll schedule an initial intake appointment that is designed for me to better understand your background, current symptoms, main concerns for seeking therapy, and treatment goals. If needed, an additional session may be scheduled to complete this process. Every person’s needs and desires for therapy are different, so this initial intake assessment process can help us set-up the best treatment plan possible.
Therapy: I offer individual therapy sessions to adults ages 18 years and older. Therapy sessions are typically 50 minutes each week, although longer sessions or more frequent sessions may be scheduled, if needed and discussed in advance.
For some clients, it is helpful to practice doing things in the community to help the client overcome their fears or approach things they’d like to do but have been difficult to do (e.g., going to restaurants, stores, public places). If needed, we may discuss meeting elsewhere, if possible, to help you practice these things in session with my support. This would be discussed and agreed upon in and advance, and we would discuss how to ensure your confidentiality.
Fees: I am currently an out-of-network provider, so fees for service are due at the time of the session, and are paid via credit card on a secure HIPAA-compliant portal. I can provide you with a monthly Superbill for you to submit to your insurance for any out-of-network reimbursement or benefits you may have. I encourage you to call your insurance to discuss any out-of-network benefits you may have with them for behavioral health services, any deductibles, and what percentage (if any) that they reimburse. Reimbursement from your insurance provider is not guaranteed and is up to you to pursue. Commonly used treatment codes are: 90791 (Intake, non-prescriber) and 90834 (Individual Therapy, 50 minutes).
My fees are comparable to other providers in the area with similar expertise and training.
- Clinical Intake (required for all psychotherapy services): $215
- 50 minute psychotherapy session (individual): $180
- 80 minute psychotherapy session (individual): $250
